We built this because we were the customer.
CleanMyList is a small team. Most of us have run email at growing companies and lived through the kind of bounce-rate panic this product solves. We built the tool we wished we'd had.
What we believe
Four things we care about, in plain English.
The category is full of products that quote 99% accuracy on tests they made up, then leave you holding the spam folder. We try really hard not to be that.
Plain English, always.
Email is hard enough without jargon. We write things the way we'd explain them to a friend, on a product, in a support email.
Your data is yours.
We never sell it, share it, or train models on it. Your list lives encrypted with us for a month, then it's gone.
Good neighbors on the internet.
When we check email addresses, we're guests on other people's mail servers. We're polite about it, even when nobody's looking.
No pricing tricks.
The price is on the page. The math is on the page. No 'contact us for pricing' for anything most teams need.
The short story
Where we've been so far.
2023
Where it started
After years of running email at growing companies, we got tired of cleaning tools that were either too expensive, too complicated, or both. So we started this.
2024
First 200 customers
Quiet beta with a handful of marketing teams. We rebuilt the product three times in the first year based on what they told us.
2025
Real-time API
The verification endpoint shipped so teams could catch typos and fake addresses right at signup.
2026
V1 launch
Still small, still answering every support email ourselves, and focused on publishing measured reliability as production data comes in.
Want to work on email at a small, honest company?
We hire on craft, not credentials. Remote across most timezones. Always reading new applications.
