Re-check a list

Email lists go stale over time. Here is when and how to run a fresh check.

Email addresses that were fine a few months ago can stop working — people change jobs, close accounts, or abandon inboxes. Checking again before an important send keeps your list healthy.

How to re-check

You can run a fresh check on a list whenever you like. Open the list and start a new run. Each run gives you up-to-date results.

How often should I clean?

  • Before any big or important send.
  • Every few months for a list you mail regularly.
  • Whenever you import a batch of new or old contacts.

Note

Remember that lists are deleted automatically 30 days after you create them. If you want to re-check later, keep your own copy of the original, or just upload it again.
