Connect an AI assistant

Let an AI assistant check emails for you, in plain language, using your own account.

If you use an AI assistant that can connect to outside tools, you can hook it up to CleanMyList. Then you can simply ask it things like "is this address safe to email?" or "clean this list of 400 contacts", and it does the work in your account.

Assistants that support this include Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and a growing number of agent tools. The steps below work the same way in all of them — only the name of the settings screen changes.

The address to connect to

Wherever your assistant asks for a connector, server, or tool address, give it this:

https://www.cleanmylist.io/mcp

Option 1: sign in (recommended)

The simplest way. You approve the connection in your browser and never handle a key.

  1. 1Add the address above in your assistant's connector settings.
  2. 2Your assistant opens a CleanMyList page in your browser. Sign in if you are not already.
  3. 3Choose which workspace the assistant may use.
  4. 4Approve the connection. Your assistant is ready to use straight away.

Note

Only a workspace owner or admin can approve a connection. If you are a member, ask an owner or admin to connect it, or use an API key instead.

Option 2: use an API key

Better for tools that run on a server with no browser, or for your own scripts. Create a key first (see "Get an API key"), then add it to your assistant's configuration file like this:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cleanmylist": {
      "url": "https://www.cleanmylist.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Heads up

A key gives full access to everything the assistant can do, including actions that spend credits. Keep it private — see "Keep your API keys safe".

Checking it worked

Ask your assistant to list the tools it has available. You should see CleanMyList tools for checking addresses and running list jobs. If nothing appears, check the address has no typo and that the connection is still approved on your API keys page.
