The flip side of pushing good contacts back is removing the bad ones from future sends. CleanMyList can mark your do-not-send addresses as suppressed in your email tool.
What suppressing does
Suppressed contacts stay in your email tool for your records, but your tool will not send to them. This protects your sending reputation without you having to delete anyone by hand.
Heads up
On SendFox, suppression unsubscribes the address across your SendFox account. It affects every SendFox list the contact belongs to, not only the list you imported.
Heads up
On Brevo, suppression blocks the address across the Brevo account, not only from the list you imported.
Heads up
On Klaviyo, an undeliverable address is suppressed across the account. CleanMyList waits for Klaviyo's background suppression job to report completion.
Note
On MailPoet, suppression unsubscribes the address only from the selected MailPoet list.
Note
On ActiveCampaign, suppression unsubscribes the address only from the selected ActiveCampaign list.
Heads up
On MailerLite, suppression unsubscribes the address across the account, not only from the group you imported.
Note
On GetResponse, suppression adds only the exact address to the selected list's blocklist.
Note
On Moosend, suppression unsubscribes the address only from the selected Moosend list.
Note
On beehiiv, suppression unsubscribes the address only from the selected beehiiv publication.
Heads up
On NuReply, suppression adds the address to Do Not Contact across the NuReply account, not only the lead list you imported.
- 1Open your finished list.
- 2Choose the option to sync results back to your connected tool.
- 3We send the do-not-send addresses back and mark them as suppressed there.
Heads up
Suppressing is about stopping future sends to bad addresses. It is the safe choice — your contacts are not deleted, just held back from sending.
