Connect Acumbamail

Connect Acumbamail to import a subscriber list directly into CleanMyList, check its addresses, and send the right results back without a CSV round trip.

Before you start

• Acumbamail only opens its subscriber API to paid plans. On a free plan, CleanMyList can see your lists but Acumbamail refuses to share or change subscribers.
• You need to log in to the Acumbamail account that owns the lists you want to clean.

Copy your Acumbamail auth token

1. 1Log in to Acumbamail.
2. 2Open My account → Preferences.
3. 3Copy the auth token shown there. See https://en.soporte.acumbamail.com/article/327-consult-api-documentation if you can't find it.

Connect Acumbamail to CleanMyList

1. 1In CleanMyList, open Integrations → Acumbamail.
2. 2Paste the auth token and click Connect Acumbamail.
3. 3Wait for CleanMyList to verify the token. If Acumbamail says the account is not on a paid plan, upgrade it in Acumbamail and connect again.

Clean your first Acumbamail list

1. 1Go to Lists and click New list.
2. 2Choose Acumbamail, then select the subscriber list you want to clean.
3. 3Choose what to do, create the list, and run the check.
4. 4When the check finishes, you can push the addresses you select to an Acumbamail list or unsubscribe bad addresses from the list you imported.

How CleanMyList keeps the sync safe

• Imports bring in only active subscribers. Unconfirmed, unsubscribed, bounced, and complained subscribers stay out.
• Before adding clean contacts, CleanMyList reads which addresses the destination list holds as unconfirmed, unsubscribed, bounced, or complained, and never re-adds them.
• New contacts are added without a confirmation email, and CleanMyList asks Acumbamail not to send its welcome email.
• Suppressing a bad address unsubscribes it only from the selected Acumbamail list. Your other lists are not changed.
